Discussing Several Types of Seizures in Adults
Jan 27th
Do you know someone who has epilepsy? Depending on the types of seizures that they have, you may be able to tell how severe the disease has become. If they have some types of seizures that could potentially give them very bad symptoms, you may have to watch out for them and help them as needed. However, don’t overstep your boundaries and help them if they specifically tell you not to, as they will feel even worse than they already do. For you to recognize the types of seizures, you have to first look at what type of symptoms they are having. If they have seizure symptoms that include jerking arms and legs as well as twitching upper body and facial muscles then most likely they are experience myoclonic seizures. If they have symptoms that include staring blankly into space and are non-responsive and not moving, then they are likely experiencing petit mal seizures. However, if they have convulsive symptoms and are on the ground writhing around, they have grand mal seizures.
