What Omega 3 Can Do
Not all fats are bad fats. Omega 3 is an essential fat. It helps the body fight illness by reducing inflammation of tissues found in the joints, the blood vessels, and the different organs of our body systems.
Omega 3 improves blood circulation because it counters the effect of too much omega 6, another essential body fat that makes the blood sticky to help in clotting. Excessive levels of omega 6 in the body also has the risk of forming blood clots in the blood vessels that would cause a heart attack or stroke. As such, omega 3 helps regulate the rhythm of the heart. Aside from these, omega 3 also helps decrease the levels of unhealthy fats such as triglycerides, thus it controls the accumulation of plaque in the blood vessels. Fish should be included in your daily diet to be sure that you are giving your body enough dose of omega 3 since the body cannot produce this fat by itself.
