Sometimes It Seems Like All News is Entertainment News
Apr 12th
Doesn’t it? And then it’s a little funny, but sometimes there is more news in the entertainment news than there is on cable news. Or at least it seems like it sometimes. Of course cable news seems to repeat the same stuff over and over, unless there is “breaking news.” In which case they start repeating that over and over. I remember the days when cable news was new, innovative and just packed with information. Or am I remembering a book, instead? That’s possible. Still, the news seems more interested in how the newscasters look than in what they are saying. And it’s a shame that so few news anchors are reporters anymore. Or, if they were, they were reporters who were just trying to get to the news desk, so they put more emphasis on appearance than reporting, too. Sigh, I think I am getting old. There is no need to agree with that last, by the way.
